My trip to Cryptocon: A Bigfoot/paranormal/cryptozoology convention in Harlan, Kentucky

4/20/2018(The day before the convention)

So something strange happened to me today. I had been looking for this specific book that I’ve owned for years. I had been looking for the said book for OVER a year with no luck in finding it. Even a week ago I was digging through boxes at my Dad's house trying to find this book. Today I was loading up my car with our merch for the Harlan, Kentucky Cryptozoology convention, and guess what was sitting right there in the back seat? The book I’ve been trying to find for OVER A YEAR. Now here’s what’s very interesting about this book. Not only had I been looking for it for so long with no luck, but it’s also a book about demons and fallen angels. It's called "A Field Guide To Demons, Faeries, Fallen Angels, and Other Subversive Spirits". Now if you follow my YouTube channel you probably know that I have been studying demons a lot more lately, and it was just very strange to me that that specific book was sitting there. I’m still not sure how to explain it. 

I should also say that this day in general wasn’t a very good day. Lots of negativity and aggression in the air, but a friend of mine called me and helped me clear some of that away before I went to bed. During the conversation at a key moment of healing the call dropped completely for no apparent reason. I also saw several black orbs in my room fly by very swiftly, and it was feeling as if something didn’t want me to talk to my friend. 

Another interesting thing about the black orbs is that there has been a newer entity we have been seeing around the house. A smaller black oblong shaped shadow about the size of our cat. About a week or two ago I had opened the door to go in my room because we keep it closed so the cat won’t get inside. Right upon entering the room I noticed the cat was indeed in the room somehow. The cat then started running and out of the floor I saw the black oblong shadow fly up toward the bed and disappear. Even before that Brittany had described seeing it in succession with a loud sound we both heard. She said she felt it was a child, or something posing as one. 

So let’s take it back even before that... one night when it was just me at the apartment I was laying in bed. I started hearing my cats freaking out and hissing from the room we keep them in at night, and then all of a sudden a loud bang on the door and it just swung open. Now maybe the cats jumped up and somehow opened it, but it was still very strange! The cats were also at the other end of the room when the door opened. Cats are very swift, so it’s not impossible that it could have been caused by them. Also there was one night we had the cats put up in that same room. Brittany was asleep on the couch and all of a sudden the cats were jumping on her. She walked over to the room we keep them in and the door was cracked open. 

4/21/2018 - CRYPTOCON!

Year one of Cryptocon was a blast! I love any convention that revolves around Bigfoot, and they had some great speakers for it being a first year event. I only got to see bits and pieces since I was working the booth, but I’m happy I got to see my new friend Matthew Delph's speech. I also met some new friends in the community, and got to sell some merch and spread the word about Spectral Wolfpack. Jimmy Blanton did an amazing job putting together the convention for year one, and I look forward to going next year! I may even speak there, which is another thing I’m trying to do more of in the future. 

It's always great fun to hang with some good people, and talk about Bigfoot! I got to hear some awesome stories of sightings, and even a little bit about UFOs. Overall I recommend Cryptocon, and I hope to see everyone there next year! 


Another cool thing that happened was that while in Harlan, Brittany went shopping for an anniversary present for me. She ended up finding some cool thrift stores. She got me some awesome stuff, including several creepy dolls. Here is one picture of my favorite doll that she got me:

On the way home we stopped in the Smoky Mountains, and got to see some Wildlife. We saw a coyote, several turkey, a bear with 3 cubs, and some deer. Brittany got me a book about Cemeteries of the Smoky's, and some Hobbit Tarot cards. We had a really great anniversary, and an awesome trip overall. We tried to cram as much as we could into the two days, and I think we succeeded! There were some things I wish I got pictures of, like a camper that was named Bigfoot at Cade's Cove in the Smoky Mountains, but I learned that if I see it I should grab a picture. So next time I will!

My paranormal life, #1 Entry, Dream Journal Entries #1

Hello guys, and welcome to my first entry on this blog. This will be a place where I can just write some thoughts down, talk about things that might not make it into my videos, and I'm also going to be writing some of my dreams on here. Basically it's just a journal for me to write about my adventure as an enthusiast and investigator of the unknown. 👻👽👹

For anyone who doesn't know me very well, my name is Alex Bobulinski. I am a paranormal investigator from Birmingham, Alabama with a slight obsession with spirits, cryptids, extraterrestrials, urban exploring, historic locations, and "creepy" dolls. I have investigated at some amazing locations including: Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Old South Pittsburg Hospital, Hales Bar Dam, and many more. This is what I love, this is my passion, and the experiences I've had so far have been life changing.

Here are a couple dreams from my journal that have a sort of paranormal influence on them:
4-17-18
"Last night in one of my dreams I realized one of my spirit boxes turned itself on, and actually started scanning on its own(for this to happen in real life, something/someone would of had to press it). Immediately a response came through the box twice. "Seven," both times, which if you follow my videos you know that this is an entity I have been dealing with and studying recently."

"Several nights before I had a dream about Memorial Mound, which is an abandoned underground funeral home in Bessemer, Alabama. In the dream I finally got inside the usually-chained building, and I was exploring the innards of the cave-crypt. It was very dark. Somehow not even my lights would work in the darkness, and I was just walking along with very low visibility. Then I started hearing children's laughter coming from somewhere. I started making my way back to the front door(which is the only way in or out, I should add) to see if there were kids outside the building. As I approached the front door, it slammed shut and I was trapped inside. Then I woke up."
